Question = How to clean the Tub Defender 2-in-1?

Answer = Simply pull it out of your drain and wipe off the hairs trapped around it. Then you can easily flush the collected hair down the toilet.

Question = Does it work well collecting animal fur?

Answer = Yes, our Tub Defenders have been modified to catch all types of animal furs and hairs.

Question = Do I need to remove the entire stopper assembly from under my sink?

Answer = No, just separate the stopper drain plug from the arm assembly under the sink, and then reinstall the arm assembly nut back under the sink. FYI make sure your sink drain is more than 1.25 inches in diameter for the tub defender to fit.

Question = Will this allow you to plug up the tub to take a bath?

Answer = Yes, Our upgraded 2-in-1 comes with a built in silicone umbrella stopper. The stopper will create a nice seal around your drain and stop all water from escaping. Just make sure your drain is at least 1.28 inches deep.

It is so easy to install, but I wouldn't even call it "install" since all you have to do is put it into the drain hole and voila - done! Removing the hair catcher is just as easy. I like to soak in the bath every now and then, and I was glad to see how easy it was to just push the rubber down and seal the tub. I was contemplating purchasing it as a Christmas gift to a couple of my girlfriends too! :)

I waited until I had used this product for some weeks before rating it. Overall, I think it looks great and as far as I can tell, catches all the hair. It is easy to clean and I am much happier with this product. This one stays put and does not float up, allowing hair to slip by. I bought this after a recent trip from a drain cleaner specialist and hopefully that is the last time I will need to have them over with the big snakes to unstop a drain clogged with hair!

My biggest concern was how well it would hold water for taking baths, and then catch the hair after I was done with my bath. I am pleasantly happy with how easy it is to seal the tub when taking baths, and then all I have to do is pull up the rubber seal from the side for the water to go down and let the strainer catch all my hair without clogging my drains.

I only wish that I had bought this long time ago instead of only recently but we love it! We live in an apartment and I normally have to put in a maintenance request every few months for them to come unclog our drains because of my long hair. At first I wasn’t sure so I took the risk, and I must say this thing is solid! Made well, comes with multiple o-rings so you can fit it snugly into your bathroom drain and easy to pluck out and clean. Seems to be working great so far.

Good materials & design. It is easy to use. It catches huge amounts of hair and needs emptied accordingly. It is easy to pop out, remove hair and pop back in. It’s a 10 second process from start to finish. Have not had any more clogged drains since we started using it.

I use this for my bathtub that I give my dog a bath in. My dog has short hair and it collects the hair with NO PROBLEM and still drains water even when it's full. The good thing is once I'm done giving my pooch a bath the cleaning part is very easy. The rubber stopper creates a nice seal to allow me to fill the tub up for him to enjoy. It comes with a couple rubber grommets seal so it fits snug into the drain.
